| In Premonition, Linda Hanson (Sandra Bullock) is living in the Twilight Zone as she experiences recurring dreams of her husband's car crash, mediated by days in which the tragedy hasn't yet happened. By the time Linda does see her husband Jim's (Julian McMahon) death, one feels relieved instead of grievous. Though Premonition mines fascinating material, investigating the ways women in particular have uncanny psychic abilities to predict impending family dangers, Linda's premonitions are so convoluted, even to her, that it is difficult to determine their reality. Unrealistic scenes involving a sadistic psychiatrist and an unwarranted lithium prescription would lead one to question Linda's sanity, but instead add falseness to the story. Irritating sequences in which Linda confides in a priest at the local church, who tells her that faith will heal all, seem like Christian propaganda that completely eradicates any real witchcraft in the story. For a truly scary film about clairvoyance, see Dario Argento's Phenomena. Premonition is a bogus take on psychic prediction, as tearjerking as Ghost was during Patrick Swayze's heyday. --Trinie Dalton Product DescriptionLinda Hanson (Sandra Bullock) has a beautiful house, a loving husband and two adorable daughters. Her life is perfect, until the day she gets the devastating news that her husband Jim (Julian McMahon) has died in a car accident. When she wakes up the next morning to find him alive and well, she assumes it as all a dream. Or was it? Suddenly, her perfect life is turned upside down as she begins a desperate scramble to save her family and uncover the truth. Racing against time and fate, Linda will stop at nothing to discover the true meanings of reality and destiny.

A Converted Sceptic.
Rating: 5
Let me start by saying Casino Royale was a really good movie. I enjoyed it, and I thought Daniel Craig was/will be a great James Bond. The problem was, there was very little in this motion picture that indicated it was a James Bond film. The really slick pre-title action sequence was missing. The Maurice Bender style credit sequence was missing. There was no gadgetry. No Q. No Moneypenny. There was very little humor (even Tim Dalton's Bond contained some humor). They could have called Craig's character Ethan Hunt and called this movie Mission:Impossible IV. In spite of the fact that Casino Royale was jam-packed with action, and and had a better plot than a few other Bond flicks, it didn't seem like I had just watched Bond 21. I don't know where Barbara and Michael will go from here. I assume Bond 22 will further the plot of Casino Royale, trying to get the arms merchants, but I can't even begin to think of where they will go there after. Other than being a great action adventure, there is nothing unique about this version of Bond that will sustain it for any period of time. Thus, I consider the end of the James Bond franchise to be Die Another Day. Again, I enjoyed Casino Royale, and Daniel Craig was a surprise in his portrayal of 007, but there was no feeling of having visited an old friend after viewing Casino Royale. As a stand-alone action adventure, I gave this a rating of 8, but in spite of beautiful photography and a great soundtrack (although I didn't care for Chris Cornell's title song) and Craig's great performance.... as a Bond film I can't give it more than a 5 or 6.
But now that I am watching it on my 10' screen in 1080P on the Blu Ray disc, this is easily the best HD transfer of any Blu Ray movie I have seen.
It is crisp, colors are great and it actually looks better than it did on the screen at the cinema last Thanksgiving.
It has become my "show-off" disc. When someone wants a quick glimpse of how good a Blu Ray disc can be, I throw Casino Royale into the PS3 and crank it up.
I still miss the humor, gadgets and one liners from the first 20 Biond films, but Casino Royale in Blu Ray is ear and eye candy.

Blu-Ray Heaven.
Rating: 5
I must sympathize with the makers of this movie as it must be one of the hardest BD titles to sell. Don't get me wrong it is reference quality in video and audio but with Sony's marketing ploy of giving this title away with every sale of a PS3, really the market has been saturated with freebies. I know a lot of people have received 2 or even 3 free copies of this BD movie and they are themselves giving their free copies away on forums.

Best Bond I've Seen.
Rating: 5
I've seen it about 5 times now (2 in theaters, 3 at home) and I still get into it. The quality of this film on Blu-ray is spectacular and I'm continually impressed. I'd suggest that everyone watch it at least once, even if you're not a fan of the 007 series

Good movie, if your not a bond fan.
Rating: 3
I was very dissapointed when I saw this movie. Not because it is a bad movie it is actually a really well made movie, but because it isn't a good James Bond movie. It doesn't contain the witty dialect and sexual tension that we have come to expect and love from 007. And Craig, although attractive, doesn't posses the Bond charm or larger than life quality. So if your looking for a good shoot em' up movie this is a great movie for you, if you want "Bond, James Bond" go for the classics.

Best Bond Flick!? Definitely best Bond in Audio-Video!.
Rating: 5
I don't know why but Bond films always are very entertaining to me, even several times around. The storyline here is great, following the original by Ian Fleming story well (unlike the funny spoof from a long time ago that is also well worth watching). And Daniel Craig is a near-perfect 007 for this "first Bond film" (could perhaps be "elevated"). Eva Green is luscious and the rest of the cast (miss "Q"!) is superb...interesting to see Giancarlo Giannini (see Lina Wertmuller films)! Even if you don't like Bond films in general and feel like some action or a storyline with twists, this is simply a classic to watch. The audio and video quality is excellent as well, showing off Blu-ray HD...if your audio system actually goes down to the bottom in sub-bass (e.g., see Buttkicker), you'll also get extra enjoyment. BUY IT!

Seems like the movie stops and credits roll before it is over.
Rating: 3
Watching this movie, I was really having a good time, since I really enjoy movies of this nature dealing with time travel. However, it was very dissapointing when suddenly the movie stops and the credits start rolling which seemed to me not to have an ending to this movie, and leaving a lot of unanswered questions.
One of the hidden bonus features, is an alternate ending (hidden in the deleted scenes section) which I figured would give me the ending and closure I desired, but it is even worse, as it cuts off too, right at the most important part.
Also, how can the police officer inform her that her husband died as if he didn't know she would already know that? He would have met her at the accident unless she ran away and left his body and went home real quick. Why would she do that?
We also know she ends up in a mental institution, yet she also lives happily ever after with her kids in a new house?
If you take a properly done time shifted movie and edit it back in proper time sequence, it should still make sense, but this movie does not pass this test.
For those that feel disapointed by this movie, I suggest watching "Primer" which put a lot more thought into the effects of going back and forth in time to try and alter the outcome. Imediately after watching that movie, you have to watch it again, in order to understand what is happening, and watching it again is really watching the second half of it, watching it once is like only seeing half the movie.
But in Premonition, if you watched the movie again, you will see parts that make no sense, already knowing everything that is going to happen.
Other than that, I enjoyed the idea and the concept alot, I just wish someone else would have done this, fixing the time mistakes so it made more sense.
The gag reel left a really bad feeling. After watching this movie, you are put in a really low emotional state, and can't imagine any gags or funny parts during the production of this movie. Even when Bullock does one of her "gags" she herself admits how wrong it was to do, and there is no laughing by anyone after the "gag" because of its really demented nature.

Premonition or Insanity? You Decide In This Psychological Thriller.
Rating: 5
FINALLY someone has created a movie that really makes you think and, of course, the outcome isn't necessarily what you expected!
Sandra Bullock plays the role of Linda Hanson, a stay at home mom of two lovely girls and wife of Jim (played by Julian McMahon).
Linda awakes one morning to normalcy, then comes a knock on the door....Jim is dead. After a long day, Linda finally falls asleep, cluthing the couple's wedding photo. When she awakes the next morning, there is Jim downstairs drinking coffee as if nothing had happened. And the cycle continues to repeat itself; repeating itself as Linda clings to sanity and fears what may be happening...or could happen!
This is an excellent psychological thriller. If you loved The Sixth Sense (Collector's Edition Series), you'll love this movie!

What emotions would you experience if you had one?.
Rating: 5
I really enjoyed this movie, and I like Sandra Bullock's movies anyway. This movie was about a woman who has dreams about her husband's (upcoming?)death. The dreams are in between dreams and reality. It's like she is flipping around between 2 dimentions. In one, he's dead. In another, he's alive. They are chronological. They each seem so real. Some seem to be visions of things that COULD happen, IF things progress on a certain track. As you expect, she goes through "am I nuts?" She tries to get help, but she is getting confused herself as to what is reality and others are not really able to help. Once she begins to track things on a calendar, she begins to get a handle on the situation. Then she starts to ask herself IF this is going to happen, can I stop it? Am I guilty of killing him if I don't? What the heck do I do?
I found it a very interesting movie and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought Sandra did a great job. I loved the end, too. And the movie leaves you thinking. . .

Another weirdo for Sandra.
Rating: 2
She's a very good actress and especially good in comedy, but why has this actress chosen such awful films? First it was the weird one about the Lake Mystery, which you had to watch twice to even understand, and now another weird movie about premonitions. Oh, and how about the one where she played a witch who brought back a dead guy after she and her sister magically put him to rest. The first part of that movie was actually very good with a very good cast, but then it turned south and sour and totally absurd. Too bad. Sandra, find yourself a good script for a change. And please no more beauty contests either. I have liked 2 of her films. The Net and Two Weeks Notice. Surely she can find more good scripts like those.

Premonition or Just Plain Crazy?.
Rating: 5
One day, everything is fine. The next day, the woman's husband dies in a car crash. The next day, she wakes up, and there he is drinking his morning coffee! The next day, he's dead again and funeral arrangements are being made! Every day of the week is a different day, and they are all mixed up! What is going on? Is the woman crazy, confused, or what?
Be prepared to keep guessing and to keep being wrong until the end of the film!
Sandra Bullock gives a great performance as the grief stricken widow Linda Hanson. This is a film you will want to see more than once to put the pieces together. It's part Sixth Sense, part Lake House, part something totally unique. Great movie!
